Purge Your Emails!

I did it!
After I spoke several times in a few days to enthusiastic groups on managing paper piles and organizing paper and information, which includes email, I came home so excited I jumped on the computer and dumped over 800 emails! Whew that felt good!
I also unsubsribed to several enewsletters that I just don’t “get around to” reading.
Man that felt good! I only have 25 emails in the inbox of each of my two email systems. I plan to keep it that way too.
Be ruthless with your purging of information! Why? Our brains are just one big fog bank with information overload. Skinny it all down to what you can really read and take time for. Ask friends to stop sending lame jokes! – that’ll save a couple days a month!!
We tend to feel guilty if we don’t open emails from friends and newsletters we “should” take time for. So, we save them, you know, because we’ll read them “later” or “someday” when we have the time. Well, there’s only so much time. So, let go now. PURGE! If you find you need to resubscribe, do so. You can always find those websites again.
Good luck!
