Why WD-40 is a Lot Like Spirituality

It wasn’t the doors’ fault, it slid just fine, it was my fault. I had been thinking about something so intensely that I was completely in my head, not my body. So, my body took the hit!
Humans live like this all the time of course; in our heads, not our bodies, but our bodies take the beating in weight gain, pulled muscles, accidents and so on.
So, anyway, I was talking to a male friend of mine not long after this event, telling him my fingers were now black and blue under the nail beds. In pure “guy” fashion he immediately said, “Use WD-40.” Pretty funny. He didn’t say “Geez, I’m sorry. I hope your fingers feel better soon.” He said, “Here. Fix the door. The door is cleary the problem. Use WD-40. That’ll fix it!”

Men and women are very different in how we think and feel about things, no question. He and I just got off the phone revisiting this conversation and laughed about it. But, what came to me is that WD-40 is a lot like spirituality. (I can make an anology out of anything!)
WD-40 makes things run smoothly, removes rust and stuck things, cleans, shines, polishes and protects, helps things slide and move easier and brings things back to life. That’s why WD-40 is just like having a better, deeper and higher spiritual life.
And, love, the highest spiritual attribute is your WD-40!
Spread and apply love, the true love from your heart around everywhere and on everyone and just see how your life will run more smoothly, you’ll feel more free, alive and protected too.

I love it! This also points out a difference between spirituality and religion.
In spirituality it is about working on your own flow. In religion it is often about telling others where to spray the WD40.
